Stop Treating Your Kitchen Like A Surgical Suite

One thing that changed my life was realizing that reflective surfaces are light multipliers. A mirror placed opposite a window will double the amount of natural light that reaches the far end of the room. But do not just hang a tiny decorative mirror. Go big. A full-length mirror leaned against the wall behind the sofa bed bounces light across the entire space. Even better, choose furniture with glossy or metallic finishes.
